Panel: Product Design Geared Towards the Outdoors

Panel featuring four local outdoor product designers who collectively have designed products for the highest quality brands including Columbia Sportswear, Patagonia, RuffWear, Hydroflask and SnoPlanks. The panel will be moderated by Kelly Kearsley, writer, editor and co-founder of Startup Bend and will cover the front side of the design cycle including how each designer is inspired and how their skills, behaviors and experiences help them to create consumer centered product. Time will be reserved for questions from the audience.

Where I'll Be

Lindsey Clark is a creative professional and skier based in Bend, Oregon. Through her fun and diverse career in the outdoor industry, she has learned how to make things happen in style. Whether that is planning and leading peak ascents on skis, or designing and bringing to life market-leading products, she knows what it takes to have a big idea and make it reality.

Previously a product designer at Ruffwear, Lindsey is now the Design Manager for the brand strategy and product development firm The Mountain Lab. She also works for Oregon Ski Guides as an avalanche instructor and is training to become a backcountry ski guide. She enjoys drawing upon her personal experience in the outdoors to compliment the traditional design process, taking a unique approach to creating the best possible products.
